Legally you need to have an MOT once a year after your vehicle is three years old. The inspection is designed to ensure that your car is safe for the road and environmentally sound.

You will be given a certificate of why your vehicle has failed its MOT. Once these issues outlined have been resolved by a car garage such as ourselves, you will then be given an MOT certificate that shows the vehicle has passed its test.

Most garages would recommend a service every 12,000 miles or every 12 months, depending on which came first.

An interim service is also available every six months or every 6,000 miles if you want your vehicle to perform to its maximum.

A warning light means that there is some sort of fault with your vehicle. It may be a major or a minor problem. Different makes of vehicles have different warning lights so you need to consult your manual to see the nature of the problem.
